  • Developed and implemented ESG Strategies, Procedure, Policies, and Standard for improvements of organization sustainability performance, Knowledge generation and dissemination. Contribute to integrating ESG issues with overall compliance and management information systems.

  • Develops and leads the implementation of a corporate level Environment and Social Management System in line with international standards including IFC performance standard and WB/IFC EHS guidelines. The system will include but will not be limited to the following plans and procedures:

  • Lead and coordinate IFC performance Standard and ESG compliance and provide operational coordination and specific inputs to project teams to ensure compliance during project preparation and implementation.   • Lead in identifying and resolving ESG issues, undertaking environment and social due diligence prior to site selection for project development, participating in selected due diligence missions.   • Enhanced social performance of Company by formulation & implementation of robust Stake holder engagement plan, Grievance Mechanism & monitoring through periodical review. Lead in responding to ESG documentation/reporting requirements of investors, communicating regularly with investors and ensuring consistency in data collection.

  • Identify material issues/ risks related to ESG by conducting the stakeholder engagement, grievance management and prepare the risk management framework.

  • Review and scrutinize the sustainable initiatives related projects/ activities proposals and recommend the appropriate to the top management for approval.

  • Design, execute and evaluate pilot projects or programs to enhance the sustainability performance.
    Identify training or other development opportunities for building capacities. Conducts/coordinates trainings in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring and use of safety equipment for workers and site supervisors.

  • Conduct review meetings with the sustainability committees as per the guidelines of Sustainability Charter to get approvals, suggestions and presenting the approved outcomes to the Board. Supports in establishing an ESG committee to address environmental, development impact and social/community and governance issues and coordinates regular meetings. Monitors E&S issues and reports them to the Impact Committee, Board of Directors, the broader Company and external stakeholders as needed in collaboration with relevant personnel.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and international regulatory requirements and internal risk management principles.
  • Support in ensuring that the CEO, the board, and its committee operations receive relevant information in accordance with best practices and international standards for corporate governance.
  • Regularly review and recommend changes to the company’s risk management and corporate governance documents.
  • Work closely with senior management to liaise with regulatory and enforcement agencies where appropriate and proactively manage related risks.
  • Provide support, advice, and guidance on compliance, risk, and governance-related issues to the board of directors and senior management.

Big projects, a lot of substance, tasks that directly relate to the better functioning of the company. In my role, I had the opportunity of improving communications interdepartmentally via SAP. I’m really happy about what I’ve achieved, about developing SOPs for optimum productivity, deep involvement, and peak efficiency.

I was given a lot of authority and ownership, getting things done is a priority, everyone is helpful, open, and communicative.

The experience has been crucial in teaching me about the workings of manufacturing plants and the importance of material data, while providing me insights in the EV industry. My ambition is to build a startup one day that helps companies strengthen their supply chains and working for LOHUM takes me in that direction.
